Update 11/28/06

Brothers

Our weekly conference calls with the architects, civil engineer, builder and Larry & I are now running an hour or so with loads of agenda items. We have a lot of detailed items to discuss at our 12/9 meeting in order to get us all on the same page. I have a set of drawings that have been marked up. Hopefully, we will have an updated set of drawings for that meeting. They are also going to try to update our building cost estimates by then.

The really biggie at this-point - we have eliminated the roof mounting of the HVAC and now have a sloped roof without the parapet and HVAC equipment. The roof line of the gable ends will cross the whole length of the building with the same standing seam steel roofing. We likely will have a second story storage room above the main restrooms. Sunrush and DCA are debating the merits between putting the HVAC equipment in the second story storage room but expanded to cover the kitchen or locating all of the HVAC units on the ground outside the building. Currently, Larry and I are leaning both directions. The final outcome on that issue will be related both to aesthetics and costs (storage room, sprinkling, ductwork costs and friction losses in the ductwork). We are expecting HVAC loadings etc. for Tom Easter's input yet this week.

The building design changes to accommodate these structural modifications could delay our receipt of the 50% construction drawings due late next week, before our next meeting. Having those updates is not as important as the building layout and the internal elevations - those we must have for the 50% design charette on 12/15. Larry and I will flesh out the charette schedule this week.

The sound committee and I are going out to Presby's new annex on old 30 West tonight to see their new sound system.

The kitchen committee's recommendations have been submitted and should be included in the next set of updates.

Larry and I are now prepared to explain how the next few months should proceed from a "Building Gods Way" program DCA/Sunrush/BGW Supply big picture perspective along with our options about which companies will be or may be providing what along with are our options.

We anticipate having a formal contract from Larry R. Long, for our civil site engineering sometime soon. Larry R. is hard at work on our project but currently only under a handshake agreement. We have three "Longs" on this project - Larry J. Long, our chairman, Larry R. Long, our civil engineer and Mike Long the VP of Sunrush Construction.

We have received the invoice for the soil borings and today it will be forwarded to Jim for payment.

Dave
